Aberfeldy 18 Year Old Sangiovese Red Wine Cask Finish is a limited-edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky that brings together Aberfeldy's signature honeyed richness and the vibrant fruit character of Tuscan Sangiovese wine.

Created under the direction of award-winning Malt Master Stephanie Macleod, this expression is matured for 18 years in traditional oak casks, including refill and hogshead casks, before being transferred to first-fill Sangiovese red wine casks from Tuscany's historic Valdarno di Sopra region for its finishing period.

The use of first-fill Sangiovese casks brings an expressive red-fruit dimension to Aberfeldy's naturally honeyed Highland style. Aromas of ripe cherries and succulent red plums are layered with candied orange peel and honeyed figs, while delicate violet adds an elegant floral character. Clove, vanilla and toasted oak provide additional depth and structure.

On the palate, the whisky develops into a rich combination of fruit compote, dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, clove and heather honey. The Sangiovese influence complements rather than overwhelms the underlying malt, creating a balance between ripe fruit, sweetness, spice and oak.

The finish is long and elegant, with gentle spice, oak and a lingering cherry-liqueur character.

Bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof), the whisky is presented at natural color and without chill filtration, helping preserve its full-bodied texture and character.
