Made from 100% Scottish barley sourced from the Inverness-shire region, Port Charlotte 10 is heavily peated to 40 PPM and trickle distilled through Bruichladdich's tall, narrow-necked stills. This approach creates an aromatic spirit where robust peat smoke is balanced by layers of fruit and oak-driven sweetness.

The whisky is matured for 10 years using a carefully selected combination of casks: 65% first-fill American whiskey casks, 10% second-fill American whiskey casks, and 25% second-fill French wine casks. This maturation profile contributes impressive depth while allowing the signature Port Charlotte peat character to remain at the forefront.

The aroma brings together dry, earthy peat smoke and coastal character with layers of golden caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, ginger, nutmeg, clove, citrus, and floral notes. On the palate, the whisky develops a softer texture, balancing smoke with coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey, maritime salinity, and oak sweetness.

The finish is long and smoky, complemented by malted barley sweetness and layers of fruit, including orange, mango, ripe apple, and apricot, before returning to Port Charlotte's signature dry smoke.
