Each component whisky is matured for at least 12 years in refill American oak hogsheads before undergoing a unique double-barrel maturation. The whisky is first re-aged in Oloroso Sherry casks, including specially seasoned European oak butts and the distillery's own sherry solera, creating additional layers of sweetness, dried fruit, and spice while preserving its signature maritime peat character.

The nose opens with aromas of beeswax, boiled sweets, fragrant peat smoke, and coal tar.
