Sazerac de Forge Vintage 2000 Grande Champagne Single Cask Cognac is an exceptionally rare vintage expression capturing a single harvest and a single cask from Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of Cognac.

Distilled from the 2000 harvest, this release represents the first vintage expression from the revived Sazerac de Forge & Fils house. Rather than blending eaux-de-vie from multiple years and barrels—as is traditional for most Cognac—this bottling was deliberately preserved as an unblended single-cask expression, allowing the individual vintage and cask to define its character.

The Cognac matured for more than two decades in French oak, developing remarkable depth while retaining the fruit and floral character associated with long-aged Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie.

Its aromatic profile opens with an intense expression of ripe stone fruit, including dried apricot and yellow peach, followed by exotic mango and passion fruit. Orange blossom, vanilla and a touch of black pepper bring additional complexity.

The palate continues with concentrated fruit and citrus, complemented by gentle spice and subtle coconut-like oak character. Despite its extended maturation, the Cognac maintains an elegant balance between mature oak, vibrant fruit and floral freshness, leading into a long and graceful finish.
