Tequila Cabal Charro Reposado El Crucero II is a premium, estate-driven tequila from Jalisco that combines Cabal’s meticulous approach to agave cultivation with a distinctive multi-barrel maturation program.

Produced from organic Blue Weber agave, Cabal emphasizes single-estate, single-plot sourcing. The brand states that its agaves are allowed to mature for a minimum of seven years, while its fields are managed using organic, biodynamic and crop-rotation practices.

This expression is connected to El Crucero II, the estate identified by Cabal for Lot 01. Production takes place at La Roca Distillery, NOM 1646, in Jalisco, where Cabal works with the Montes family and uses a proprietary yeast derived from its own estate.

For the Reposado, maturation introduces a particularly interesting American whiskey influence. Current product information for the Charro Reposado describes a combination of barrels that previously held Old Elk Bourbon, Russell’s Reserve Rye and Russell’s Reserve Bourbon, bringing layers of oak, vanilla, caramel and spice to the underlying agave character.

The resulting tequila maintains cooked agave at its core while developing notes of honey, vanilla, caramel, oak and peppery spice. The profile remains smooth and rounded, with enough barrel character to add complexity without obscuring the agave.

Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 700ml bottle, Cabal Charro Reposado is designed to work particularly well as a sipping tequila, either neat or over a large ice cube.
