The Macallan Horizon is presented in a radical horizontal decanter, referencing the forward-flowing lines of Bentley’s automotive world. The sculptural twist motif represents the shared journey of two iconic brands as they move confidently into the future of luxury design.
Created in collaboration with Bentley’s artisans, this vessel blends traditional craft with cutting-edge engineering, redefining what a whisky decanter can be.
Exceptional Craftsmanship
Six Materials. One Vision.
In homage to The Macallan’s Six Pillars, the Horizon decanter incorporates six carefully chosen materials:

The Whisky – a bold, rich single malt drawn from six exceptional first-fill European oak sherry casks

Wood – an oak inlay sourced from one of those casks

Copper – recycled from The Macallan’s retired stills

Aluminium – shaped into a precision-engineered ribbon inspired by Bentley’s automotive structure

Leather – Bentley’s low-carbon, chestnut-hued luxury hide

Crafted by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell, The Macallan Horizon captures the sensuality, depth, and refinement associated with both The Macallan and Bentley.
Cask Composition
Six first-fill sherry seasoned European oak butts, each selected for its unique intensity, natural color, and flavor.
Tasting Experience
Colour
Dark Mahogany.
Nose
Resinous polished oak with plums and dark cherries, alongside aromatic fresh leather and a herbal, leafy note. An abundance of dried fruits follow - sticky dates, raisins and sultanas leading on to sweet cinnamon, nutmeg with a hint of cloves.
Palate
Wonderfully rich and indulgent. Dark treacle notes with cinder toffee, crystalised ginger and charred pineapple. Sweet vanilla pods and fudge develop, followed by dark chocolate coated brazil nuts and a warming oak spice.
Finish
Rich oak, long, complex.

To achieve its bold and nuanced profile, the whisky makers were given complete freedom. They selected casks purely for quality and character, unbound by age statements — allowing mastery, not numbers, to shape the final whisky.
