Crafted with Woodinville Straight Bourbon, maple syrup and orange bitters, this cocktail offers a rich take on the classic Old Fashioned, balancing bourbon-forward character with maple sweetness and bright citrus bitterness.

What sets this expression apart is its additional barrel-finishing process. After the cocktail is batched, Woodinville finishes it in a barrel that previously held its bourbon, adding another layer of oak-driven depth and integrating the whiskey, maple and bitters into a cohesive finished cocktail. Woodinville co-founder and head distiller Brett Carlile describes it as the distillery’s longtime signature cocktail recreated for effortless serving at home.

The profile is distinctly whiskey-forward. Expect maple sweetness, caramel and toasted oak, complemented by orange bitters, vanilla and warming spice. The higher strength preserves the bourbon’s presence rather than allowing the sweeter maple character to dominate.

Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle, this is considerably stronger than many prepared cocktails and maintains the structure expected from a spirit-forward Old Fashioned. The bottle provides approximately 12 cocktails.
